Post Producer, GVP

Cloud Imperium Games is seeking a Post Producer for the Global Video Production department (GVP) to come join us in our Los Angeles studio!

Cloud Imperium Games is a fast-paced video gaming company on the cutting edge of technology developing two AAA titles: Star Citizen and Squadron 42. We release linear content to our growing fan base - cinematic trailers, commercials, high-end serialized documentaries, behind-the-scenes recurring series, live-stream Q&A with our developers, and other experimental content.

The Post Producer should be very comfortable owning the post-production process; interacting with editors, GVP producers, and other department heads at Cloud Imperium; and being familiar with bidding and scheduling external vendors. The Post Producer will work in conjunction with the Senior Editor, who supervises the editorial department. They will report to the Senior Production Manager. We need someone who is very adaptable and tries to maintain a positive attitude. This is a full-time, on-site position in West Lost Angeles.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee post production pipeline for a fast-paced marketing department
• Ensure all milestones are on time and within project scope.
• Create the overall schedules and budgets for post production and work with producers to integrate into project timelines/budgets
• Coordinate efforts of shared resources, both internal and external, across multiple projects
• Coordinate with Production to align parallel work paths
• Organize and revise schedule based on shifting priorities, pivoting workflow based on staff availability and individual strengths
• Build open lines of communication, providing status updates and collecting feedback
• Determine editorial staffing needs and execute on it
• Scout, bid, and onboard new post vendors
• Manage purchase orders (POs), Statements of Work (SOWs), invoices, and overall communication with post vendors
• and other duties and responsibilities assigned by Cloud Imperium Games reasonably consistent with employee's skills and experience

Requirements:

• 3 years' experience as a Post Producer (or 5 years' experience as Associate Post Producer)
• Marketing background preferred
• Animation experience preferred
• Interest in video games is a plus
• International travel may be required as a part of this role
