Do you have a passion for Destiny’s lore and worldbuilding? As a Historian intern, your job will be to help facilitate the creative process by cataloging that lore and working with narrative and creative leadership to develop it further, building resources that help all Destiny storytellers maintain a consistent, compelling world.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled in a U.S. college, university, or related program and returning to school in the fall upon conclusion of the internship
Available to work full-time for 12 weeks throughout the summer with a set May or June start date
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research existing Destiny fiction to answer questions about worldbuilding and established lore as needed by the narrative team
Generate documentation on assigned content including story bibles, character bios, and worldbuilding guides
Prepare reference materials for both internal and external writers
Support an imaginative and fun work environment
Promote healthy workflows and solicit support for improvements
Coordinate with narrative teams to verify consistency
Help maintain consistent character and world details across multiple storytelling teams
REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and text-based communication skills
Ability to move between taking direction and taking initiative, with excellent follow-through and communication to stake-holders
Ability to solicit, iterate and react to feedback
Strong self-directed research skills, including ability to assess the reliability of sources
Exceptional team player with the ability to collaborate towards achieving product goals
Knowledge of the Destiny Universe brand
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
Background in linguistics and/or experience with constructed fictional languages
