Environment Designer
We are looking for a Junior Environment Designer to help create and refine game locations—including asset placement, terrain sculpting, and surface painting. Professional experience is not required; a portfolio of personal, school, or modding projects is sufficient. This is a one-year fixed-term position.
Responsibilities:
Designing and refining small locations or selected parts of larger environments through object placement, terrain modeling, and surface painting.
Gathering reference materials and preparing object lists.
Creating simple “whitebox” models and placeholders.
Working with raster environment data, such as satellite imagery and surface texture layers.
Collaborating with other environment designers and artists and incorporating feedback.
Requirements
A portfolio showcasing personal, school, modding, or similar work. Professional experience is not required.
Basic experience with a game engine, level editor, or similar tool.
Basic skills in 3D modeling.
Attention to detail and strong visualization skills.
Basic understanding of nature, urban planning, architecture, gameplay, and player orientation.
Ability to research real-world locations and work with reference materials.
Willingness to work on-site at our Brno office
Good communication skills and a good command of spoken and written English.
Nice to have:
Experience with Enfusion, modding for the game Arma, or other tools for modifying the game world.
Basic knowledge of Photoshop, GIS, or tools for procedural terrain generation.
Understanding of maps and the ability to navigate terrain.
Interest in modern or military history and games with an authentic approach.
