Engine Programmer
Are you passionate about building the technology that powers immersive, large-scale games? Join our team as a Senior Engine Programmer and help shape the Enfusion Engine – the core technology behind our future titles, including Arma 4. As part of our Engine team, you'll drive cutting-edge technologies that push the boundaries of what's possible in open-world simulation games.
You'll architect and build the tools that empower our artists, designers, animators, sound designers, and fellow developers, and you'll take ownership of core technologies used for building vast, dynamic game worlds. You'll also help craft — and set the direction for — the tools our passionate modding community relies on to create their own experiences.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of systems within the game engine, from design through implementation to maintenance
Design robust, maintainable solutions for demanding technical problems
Help improve workflows, tooling, and engineering practices across the team
Diagnose and resolve challenging bugs across the codebase
Explore and introduce new techniques and technologies
Support and guide less experienced programmers through code reviews and shared know-how
Cooperate with other departments
Requirements:
Strong C++ knowledge, with a good grasp of performance-conscious programming
Solid understanding of object-oriented design and common design patterns
Several years of game development experience
Comfortable working within a large codebase
Ability to work independently and take ownership of features
Good teamwork and communication skills
Good spoken and written English
Nice to Have:
Experience working with a proprietary or large-scale game engine
Experience mentoring others or helping guide technical decisions
