The Overwatch team is seeking an experienced UI/UX Artist with a strong sense of UI/UX design, terminology, and methodology. The work will be focused at the core of our player experience with high levels of visibility from in-game screens to publishing and marketing content. Our ideal candidate will understand the team’s vision, and create compelling/immersive visual experiences that will be both intuitive and true to the Overwatch identity.

What you bring to the table:

  • Build UI visual concepts, mock-ups, and motion previews.

  • Produce visual identities for current and future Overwatch content.

  • Work in collaboration with artists, engineers, designers and commercial to create, and implement polished/completed features and UI visual content.

  • Design and implement UI interface screens with UI transitions, animations, and VFX that complement the Overwatch style.

  • Work together with the team throughout the design process, receiving actionable feedback and iterating at the appropriate levels.

Minimum requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in UI art, including some experience on AAA title(s).

  • Experience creating UI for multiple platforms (mainly PC and Console).

  • Understanding of the distinctive Overwatch visual style and a drive to push it to the next level.

  • Strong visual design skills and understanding of usability design principles.

  • Develop and maintain UI/UX wireframes and flows with Figma, or other prototyping tools.

  • Some experience with front-end implementation (e.g., XAML, HTML5).

  • Form polished visual designs using Adobe Creative, or other tools.

  • Skilled in clear communication within a dynamic, cross-discipline, and collective workspace.

  • Be knowledgeable and experienced about the game, Heroes and the Overwatch Universe.

  • Strong sense of autonomy and responsibility.

Extra Points:

  • Proficient in After Effects, Adobe Animate, or other motion graphic tools.

  • Experience working in 3D.

  • Shipped at least one AAA game.

  • Experience in designing multiplayer games.

  • Knowledgeable about online gameplay and first-person shooters.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
