To that end, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Learning and Development Senior Specialist to join our Blizzard University team based out of our Irvine, CA headquarters.

This position will be an integral member of the L&D team while being responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating employee and management development and onboarding programs in support of the company’s values and business priorities and goals. You will collaborate with managers, ABK HR, key partners and Blizzard University L&D team to ensure our programs deliver and provide the best learning experiences to our employees to ensure they have the information and resources necessary to be successful in their roles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, maintain, and facilitate engaging and high-quality employee and management development programs in various formats including but not limited to: Online (formal eLearning, videos, etc), Instructor-led courses (in-person, virtual or hybrid), Support resources (job aides), and Reference guides.

  • Consult with cross functional collaborators and partners to assess and analyze learning and training needs, assist in the recommendation process to decision makers, identify delivery methods and implement plans accordingly.

  • Understand the latest skill needs, make connections between employee’s capabilities and organizational requirements, gaps and provide employees with the right Learning and Development offerings that will assist employees in achieving enhanced performance and/or career objectives.

  • Partner with the Onboarding Learning and Development team and key collaborators to establish and maintain an effective onboarding roadmap for Blizzard’s new hires to have the resources needed for a successful Day 1 and beyond.

  • Facilitate a variety of instructor-led courses including but not limited to management and employee development programs, new hire onboarding, and team building.

  • Support the ongoing utilization and growth of the Learning Management System to support employee development.

  • Monitor, analyze and apply data and feedback to make recommendations to key partners and well as Learning and Development leadership for the future learning across the company.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in talent and organizational development, project management, or in a similar role.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work independently and effectively influence a diverse team.

  • Able to succeed in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.

  • Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work; achieves results with little oversight.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage a range of audiences via virtual platforms as well as in person.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, SharePoint, Learning Management Systems preferred.

Pluses

  • Demonstrated ability to work at a fast pace in a multitasking environment and be flexible. to ramp up or change directions as needed.

  • Experience working with hybrid teams.

  • Understanding of creative and fast-paced cultures and environments.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $72,720.00 - $134,460.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
