This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
Maintain and improve core animation and visual effect systems
Implement and drive changes and fixes in UI and gameplay systems
Refactor and maintain art processing pipelines for asset ingest by game clients
Expand upon existing systems in Diablo games, actively seeking ways to improve them
Debug and fix difficult player-facing bugs and issues
Conduct profiling and optimization to achieve our goals for performance and scalability, enhancing the player experience.
Collaborate with design, QA, and other engineering disciplines to deliver polished system improvements
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of C/C++ development in a large-scale production environment
Experience shipping AAA games
Versatile development experience across multiple platforms, including desktop and console.
Background with C-style paradigm legacy codebases
Excellent debugging skills
A demonstrated ability to drive technology efforts through an entire development lifecycle
Extra points
Experience with C#, Python, and/or Lua.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or similar field.
Familiarity with Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, at least at a casual player level.
Experience with applying and supporting art workflows and tools
Experience in any of Jenkins, Git, Perforce, SVN

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
