As a Senior Engine Producer on the team, you will have a strong understanding of game engine development best practices and production methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional discipline teams to ensure achievable goals are outlined and realized throughout the phases of development. When particularly hard problems arise, you will draw upon your diverse experience and the collective creativity of the groups you support to remove blockers and produce a Blizzard-worthy game.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Produce multiple tech streams and coordinate the delivery of large features that span multiple teams (i.e. engineering, art, design, audio, and QA)

  • Lead complex cross-discipline engine features following production best practices

  • Develop and implement effective review cycles of each product milestone and/or deliverable to identify areas for improvement and/or project risk, proposing solutions to necessary stakeholders 

  • Facilitate team ceremonies utilizing agile methodologies, such as, but not limited to, standups, sprint/milestone planning and reviews, build reviews, playtests, brainstorm sessions, and feature kickoffs 

  • Collaborate with Leads to ensure clear goals are set for milestones and realized during development

  • Create alignment between partners and facilitate the flow of information to achieve a shared understanding of the goals and results within the project

  • Share and teach production best practices with the team

  • Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions 

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in production or combination of applicable training and experience 

  • Strong product mindset, passionate about delivering world class experience to our players

  • Experience with different project management methodologies (i.e. Sprint, Agile, Kanban) and can identify which methodology is best suited fit the different needs of the project

  • Must have shipped at least one AAA game in a senior production role leading a significant engineering feature or discipline 

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to work under stress and help your team members to navigate various challenges and achieve positive results

  • Up to date with the razor’s edge of industry trends including new game genres, new game development methodologies, and emergent technology 

  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $97,200.00 - $179,900.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
