Position Overview
The company is seeking a commercially experienced Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to provide finance business partnership and oversight to its businesses in Korea and Japan, with some crossovers of APAC region FP&A reporting duties. The Senior Analyst, FP&A is responsible for coordinating the planning, forecasting and reporting processes along with being the finance partner for the local management and publishing teams. In addition, this position helps to drive business reviews, manage operational risks and costs, and partner with business teams to effectively manage costs and support strategic growth initiatives. It will require the candidate to foster partnerships with the regional and global finance community to execute and deliver results within timelines.
The ideal candidate is an independent, self-organised individual with a proven track record of proactively contributing to business development initiatives, maintaining P&L reporting and analysis, identifying process efficiencies and reporting enhancements, anticipating business needs, and implementing improvements/ solutions across the organization. The Senior Analyst will co-manage the FP&A finance function across both Korea and Japan in close collaboration with the local FP&A team, and will be involved in the APAC region’s FP&A reporting/ analysis processes.
This position will report directly to the FP&A Manager, APAC, in a highly matrixed organization.
Role & Responsibilities
The role will primarily be the day-to-day Finance support to the Korea / Japan local functional teams and will also have a hand in APAC regional level management reporting and any other ad-hoc requirements.
Involvement in the annual budgeting and quarterly/ monthly forecasting processes, with the ability to work with local functional teams to generate latest estimates.
Work on a routine rhythm of business updates – particularly in the Revenue and Variable Sales & Marketing areas.
Develop/ maintain operational metrics/ financial dashboards/ reports for planning and monitoring purposes, including development of monthly reporting decks for the local/ regional management and publishing teams.
Assist with month-end close of P&L including allocations, and updates of key metrics and financial models thereof.
Monitor, analyze and update OPEX actuals/ forecast tracking.
Analyze financial impacts and effectiveness of current situations and preparation of ad-hoc business cases.
Assist with the region’s monthly reporting dashboards and packs, including but not limited to OPEX, Revenue, and Variable Sales & Marketing aspects.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
Experience/ background in finance business partnering/ FP&A, preferably in cost management, working in a cross-functional team environment.
Proven experience in building/ maintaining financial models and dashboards, ideally using BI tools.
Excellent analytical skills and business acumen.
Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other related areas or MBA with a focus on Finance.
Professional accounting/ finance qualification such as CPA, AICPA, ACCA or similar, with at least 3+ years of post-qualified experience.
Fluent/ proficient in English and Korean, both verbal and written.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong communicator to be able to collaborate within the Finance team, and with non-technical stakeholders.
Self-starter attitude, quick to learn and adapt to an ever-changing environment, all while being well-organized.
Extra Points
Knowledge of Korean/ Japanese gaming markets.
Proficiency in Japanese would be advantageous.
Experience in accounting systems such as Hyperion Essbase and Oracle.
Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker would be highly regarded.
Experience in revenue modelling or simulation would be desirable.
