The Diablo IV team is seeking a Lead Support Technician to ensure the best IT experience for a wide variety of disciplines as they produce games within the Diablo franchise. Support Technicians are the oil that keeps the machine running by helping their teammates with day-to-day issues that arise as part of the development process.

In this role, you will lead the local developer support team, assisting project team members in reaching their full potential. Your responsibilities include working closely with support technicians and collaborating with art, design, engineering, production, and QA teams ensuring the delivery of exceptional entertainment experiences.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a local sub-team of Support Technicians.

  • Provide workflow support for a time-zone distributed development team.

  • Assist individual developers in the technical aspects of content creation.

  • Ensure quick resolution or escalation of issues impacting the team.

  • Actively seek opportunities to proactively eliminate issues or improve workflows.

  • Promote, contribute to, and participate in our culture of inclusion and diversity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical supervisory role

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems

  • Passion for supporting and enabling others

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving

  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Motivated to learn new tools, techniques, and workflows

  • Willing and able to flex outside of core hours as occasional project needs arise

  • Able to multitask and tackle multiple assignments simultaneously

Bonus:

  • Experience working in the game industry

  • Production, Technical Art, Technical Design, or Computer Science background.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $92,920.00 - $171,814.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
