A new world and a new journey await you. It is a world different from any other Blizzard has created.

If you’re a passionate game developer, and, well, a good human being, then we’d love to talk to you. We have a new AAA survival game in the works, set in a new IP for PC/Console. It’s going to be amazing, and we’d love to bring you along for the ride. Together, we’ll build something big, bold, and beautiful.

As the Lead Artist for Props and Interactives, you will work with art leadership to build the vision of art for a very important part of the game. You will own and champion all the things that our players can find and interact with in the game. You will also help build and grow the team that will execute on creating all these assets. If you are an amazing collaborator, a great leader, and a proactive problem solver who loves creative challenges and growing teams, you will thrive in this role.

We believe our team is good. Really good. Granted, we’re obviously biased. But we also believe there are lots of developers out there who can make us even better. You could be one of those people. If you’re looking for a team where inclusion, thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration are all seen as critically important, we believe our team could be a phenomenal fit for you. Join us and help craft our future!

COVID-19 Hiring Update:

We've transitioned to a work-from-home model, and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.

You’re good at:

  • Crafting high resolution 3D sculpts as well as final low-polygon game-ready assets.

  • Establishing and explaining what “good” looks like. You have a great eye for visual quality and fidelity. Things like lighting, shading, materials, color, and details, ranging from closeups to looking at your assets from a far distance, it’s all easy for you.

  • Effortlessly solving for ambiguity and sorting out problems. You can quickly adjust to the various needs of different game development phases.

  • Understanding both the big picture and the tiny, but important, details. You have deep experience in, and a solid understanding of, shape language, color, tone, materials, and everything else that makes assets fit in, or stand out, in a game environment.

  • Working with next gen PBR materials and using them in the best way possible.

  • Understanding and crafting versatile components as well as fully unique assets.

  • Executing on a set art direction and visual language, consistently and reliably.

  • Collaborating with many other stakeholders, whether they’re artists, designers, or tech artists, to solve difficult creative problems and build efficient pipelines.

Extra awesome points for:

  • Having professional experience in the games industry, working on AAA games on major platforms.

  • Using Houdini for AAA game assets.

  • Experience with destructibles and componentized construction of assets.

  • Having collaborated closely with tech art to build efficient pipelines.

You’ll need to provide us with:

  • Your Resume

  • Your Portfolio or Reel – Only digital applications will be accepted such as a website, blog, or online album. Physical media will not be accepted.

  • An art test might be required
