THE ROLE:

Join the Firmware Security team and contribute to both pre-silicon and post-silicon firmware development. This role offers exposure to hardware, FPGA, and compiler technologies, as well as assembly and C programming, providing an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in hardware security flows, algorithms, and overall SoC architecture.

LOCATION: Belgrade
EMPLOYMENT DURATION: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate flexibility, strong motivation, and a track record of meeting challenging deadlines while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Apply strong problem-solving skills to complex software challenges while partnering with experienced engineers and technical leaders to develop cutting-edge AMD silicon debug software.
Participate in code reviews, develop unit tests, create technical documentation, and collaborate with both local and distributed teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, including system requirements analysis, feature design, implementation, and cross-functional collaboration with other engineering teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with object-oriented design and programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or C#, as well as hardware or embedded debugging software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Experience with project planning and leading technical initiatives.
Knowledge of x86 microarchitecture, embedded systems, ARM/RISC architectures, and peripherals.
Experience developing JTAG testing and/or runtime debugging tools and software.
Familiarity with DFT, JTAG, and system bring-up processes.
Understanding of data bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, and PCIe.
Familiarity with applied cryptography concepts.
Laboratory experience using tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Familiarity with Verilog, FPGA development, and design verification environments.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.
Compiler development or optimization experience.
Rust development experience.
Knowledge of AI agents and related technologies.

Senior Security Firmware Engineer
