THE ROLE: 

AMD is seeking a Sr. Program Management Analyst who will drive the delivery of industry-leading software and hardware solutions across AMD products and their target markets. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of innovators and shape the future of technology.  You will interact with many engineers, architects, and executives to build comprehensive plans to ensure successful delivery of major innovations in future software and hardware designs 

THE PERSON: 

This dynamic role will require a balance of technical aptitude and organizational skills. You will be the main interface driving strategic technology across multiple engineering teams. The position requires a highly collaborative mindset, exceptional communication skills and ability to present to and engage with stakeholders and leaders at multiple levels. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead programs as the primary interface between the company and contract manufacturers, ensuring all stakeholders feedback and requirements are addressed promptly.
  • Collaborate efficiently and effectively with cross-functional teams within the organization to implement a successful lifecycle for each assigned program. This includes monitoring the financial status of each assigned program, conducting analyses on business efficiency, and controlling the program spending within budget allocated.
  • Monitor project milestones, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee daily project operations, ensuring strict adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate program timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Review and drive continuous improvement in cost management and on-time delivery, ensuring all goals set are consistently achieved.
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and contract manufacturers to streamline workflows and minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality control, regulatory and logistics teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between contract manufacturers and internal teams to address requirements and resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain strong EMS relationships by having regular meetings and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on project progress, performance metrics, and internal customer feedback.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Combination of strong technical background with interest in Program/Project Management 
  • Understanding of computer architecture with exposure to device drivers, firmware and/or graphics technology 
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other planning tools an asset. 
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Excel an asset 
  • Experience with Agile methodology 
  • Experience as a ScrumMaster  

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering 
  • PMP Certified
