Amazon Games is searching for a Social Media and Content Marketing Manager with a passion for games, content and entertainment, who enjoys telling stories, writing narratives and creating fun, humorous and engaging multi-channel content for games! This position can be located in either in Munich, DE or London, UK.

As a Social Media and Content Marketing Manager you will lead planning and development of content, copy and narratives for marketing campaigns, spanning the full marketing lifecycle. These campaigns will engage audiences across social media, Amazon owned and operated channels, editorial content and partnerships. You will work with internal teams such as PR, brand, performance marketing, and community teams to create narrative wrappers that will contribute to long-term campaign strategy, and day-to-day content to engage players.

Equal parts creative and data-driven, this is an important role as we strive to create cohesive stories and exciting audience experiences using both insights on what our players enjoy, as well as (pop)-cultural trends and cross-channel insights. In this role, you will be responsible to build out relevant regional social media channels and content to engage with our community. You will also work with our global team on localization for global campaigns.

Success in this role requires excellent customer instincts to connect our brand’s voice with our audience’s passion for games.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead creative ideation, develop and execute innovative campaigns for our audiences by providing creative themes and narratives for our major content beats in EMEA

  • Ensure cohesive campaigns by contributing to content strategy and deliver copy directions to key stakeholders

  • Localize North American led campaigns and work with local teams on adjusting campaigns where culturally or content relevant

  • Work closely and collaboratively across brand marketing, PR, community and content teams to champion storytelling and execute activations, events and strategies.

  • Efficiently create highly topical trending content to increase the relevance of our games, foster conversation and help build vibrant communities

  • Manage agencies and oversee content development, performance and campaign execution

  • Develop performance metrics for individual channels; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making continuous improvement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with marketing strategies in online and mobile channels

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

  • Experience in Social Media Marketing within the entertainment industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
