Job Overview

As the Vice President of Creators at Aftershock Media Group (AMG), you will hold an executive position with a pivotal role in the overall success and growth of our creator agency business unit. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Talent and Partnerships divisions, guiding the directors and team leads in these departments.

Your leadership will ensure seamless deal management for AMG Creators, effective brand development, continuous sales growth, and the recruitment of new talent. You will be a strategic partner to the executive team, contributing to the company's long-term vision and goals. Leveraging your experience, you will evaluate AMG's agency operations, make recommendations for improvement, and provide exemplary training to existing staff, while advising on appropriate staffing strategies to support team growth and development.

Responsibilities & Duties

Executive Leadership:

  • Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for the Talent and Partnerships divisions.

  • Mentor and develop directors, ensuring alignment with AMG’s vision and objectives.

  • Collaborate with the internal legal team to streamline operational activities, including inbox management, deal management, and talent development.

  • Conduct timely performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive and professional work environment.

Talent Development and Recruitment:

  • Ensure that our company is cultivating strong and enduring relationships with existing talent, enhancing their growth and engagement.

  • Lead recruitment efforts for new high-profile and strategic creators, aligning with the company’s long-term vision.

  • Drive initiatives to expand and diversify the talent pool, maintaining AMG’s competitive edge in the industry.

Deal Management and Sales:

  • Oversee the sales team processes, ensuring efficient negotiations, effective tactics, and contract execution.

  • Develop and implement strategies for revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Ensure timely, professional, and proactive communication with clients and creators.

  • Promote cohesion and continuous improvement among team leads to enhance departmental accuracy and efficiency.

Team Development:

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the department.

  • Provide leadership development opportunities for directors and team members, ensuring a pipeline of future leaders within AMG.

  • Evaluate agency operations and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Train and impart industry knowledge to existing staff, ensuring high standards of performance.

  • Advise on staffing strategies to support team growth and development.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of AMG’s overall strategic plans, focusing on growth in sales, deal acceptance, and creator signings.

  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and capitalize on strategic trends and opportunities in the industry.

Operational Expertise:

  • Develop and implement effective procedures and operational policies to ensure smooth departmental operations.

  • Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards across all operational activities.

  • Write, review, and refine operational procedures to maintain high standards of efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role

    • Bonus: Leadership role is/was within the gaming industry, specifically in creator and/or campaign management.

  • Dynamic and charismatic personality with exceptional mentorship and leadership skills.

  • Background in sales with a focus on driving revenue growth.

  • Experience leading profitable business divisions and focusing on achieving net positive revenue.

  • Strong operational expertise, including procedure writing and implementation, adherence to policies, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging and inspiring at all levels.

  • Assertive and proactive approach to leadership and problem-solving.

  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working with brands and developing successful brand partnerships.

  • Ability to work cohesively with all other AMG departments, contributing to a unified and successful company culture.
