Activision is seeking a strong Data Analyst to join the Corporate IT Data and Analytics team. Your mission is to work closely with engineers, business partners and analytics peers to derive meaningful insights and recommendations with the aim to deliver value to the business teams and support their processes.
This role is responsible for data analytics, including data collection, analysis, reporting and visualizations. This position will be responsible for participating in the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications along with identifying, researching, and resolving technical data problems.
Responsibilities
Data Analyst will be responsible for working with peers, functional teams, and business units to identify user requirements.
Design, develop and test reports and other strategies to support business processes.
In addition, the position will assist with the development, testing, and support of reports using visualization tools like Looker, OBIEE, Tableau etc.
This will include, but not limited to, analyzing, and understanding business challenges, mapping current business processes to new systems, identifying business process and organizational change impacts, and resolving issues that affect business processes.
Data Analyst will also write functional/technical specifications, develop appropriate test scenarios and scripts, develop reports using visualization tools like Looker, OBIEE, Tableau etc., analyze test results, document process and system problems and work with different groups to resolve them. The position will ensure that a design being implemented supports operating objectives, business requirements and applies standard methodologies for reports development/Implementation.
Player Profile
Strong technical skills in visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, OBIEE 12c, OAS/OAC etc.
2 or more years’ experience working with analytical tools like Tableau, Looker etc.
In-depth understanding of databases (Google BigQuery, MySQL, Oracle, SQL server,etc.) and SQL for data analysis.
Experience working with ETL/ELT technologies (Informatica Power Center, Cloud ETL, etc.)
Strong analytical proficiency with the ability to analyze/interpret business/functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
2 or more years’ experience developing efficient and effective reporting solutions to diverse and complex business problems using BI reporting and ETL development tools.
Should be able to tune the query and report performance using various techniques
Should have experience in creating and modifying dashboards
Should have experience in creating complex reports and visualizations, preferably in Tableau or Looker.

Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies
Excellent verbal and written skills, organizational and time-management abilities.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
Experience with Google Cloud tools and technology is a plus.
