What We Need

The Vice President, HRBP, provides strategic HR leadership and is responsible for delivering forward-looking solutions, programs and policies which support the strategies and goals of 2K. The Vice President provides executive-level leadership and guidance to our global 2K Publishing HRBP team. This role reports directly to the Chief People Officer.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and manage a global team of HRBPs who are deeply embedded in the business, innovating, designing and delivering a full spectrum of HR solutions to their client groups

  • Engage and influence executive business leaders and provide strategic advice on people issues and HR needs

  • Translate business goals and strategy into optimal People processes that are scalable, pragmatic, and adaptable to unique and changing business needs.

  • Understand the unique intricacies of the organization, working closely with the business in order to recommend innovative approaches and methods to drive continual improvements in strategic objectives and productivity

  • Hire and develop strong HRBP team members, ensuring bench strength and succession planning for critical roles

  • Drive future organizational design and change management initiatives to help maintain a high-performing, motivated, and impactful team

  • Partner with Global TA, DEI Talent Development and Total Rewards leadership to ensure transparent communication and impactful delivery of programs and policies

  • Diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions, striking the right balance between speed/flexibility and process/infrastructure..

  • Ability to influence, drive decisions and recommendations with data.

  • Be comfortable with ambiguity in an evolving, fast-paced environment.

  • Prioritize effectively to deliver results both as a strategic and a hands-on People business partner with a "pulse" of its employees.

  • Influence change initiatives, develop change management plans and manage partners before and after changes occur.

  • Be a passionate teammate with a drive to create a positive work environment.

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication, including high-quality document preparation and presentation skills.

What Will Make You a Great Fit

  • Strong leadership skills; proven experience leading and developing a global HRBP team

  • Thinks strategically and can establish, articulate, and implement a vision for the organizations as it relates to people

  • Extensive knowledge of organization design and development organizational change concepts, tools, methods, guidance, and talent management principles and processes

  • Ability to build trust with and ultimately influence executive leaders on all matters related to people and culture

  • Builds collaborative relationships and collaborates with stakeholders and partners within and outside of 2K

  • Practical experience providing formal/informal executive coaching and development in all areas of guidance with all levels of leadership

  • Business understanding, knowledge, professionalism; experience all aspects of how a business operates, develops, and articulates the value proposition of a new strategy, process, or program

  • Ability to integrate and align strategy, people, and activities across functions, processes, and teams

  • Minimum 10+ years of HRBP experience in medium to large organizations, ideally those that embrace change and a fast pace.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $235,000 and $340,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
