What We Need:

We are looking for a Manager for the Global Campaign Management team on NBA to support the Global Marketing team function across NBA 2K. This role will report to a Sr leader of the Global Campaign Management Team and will contribute to global, insights-driven marketing projects that drive acquisition, engagement, and monetization opportunities for NBA 2K – a live services basketball simulation game celebrating its 25th year.

This candidate will have experience in project management and display the ability to work with diverse groups and personalities including internal cross-functional disciplines (Communications, Media, Live Services, Influencer Marketing, Social Media, Community, Territories, Commercial, Sales, Web, Legal and Creative), as well as licensors, various 3rd party agencies, external partners, and vendors. High attention to detail, ability to take direction, and keeping teams organized, motivated to do their best work, and well informed to hit deadlines will be critical in this role. Finally, we are looking for a teammate with a positive, roll-up-your-sleeves, can-do-attitude that will further strengthen the collaborative and dynamic culture of the team.

This position can be based in Los Angeles, CA (remote until office is built) or Novato, CA (3 days a week)

What You Will Do:

As a member of the 2K Global NBA Marketing Team, this manager will be critical in the execution and organization of global marketing plans for the NBA business. Amongst other project-oriented responsibilities, the candidate’s key duties will be to:

  • Lead the ongoing execution and delivery of large-scale Marketing & Business projects involving the following areas of the business: Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Data Analytics, International, Insights & Player Journey

  • Provide project management and support for team projects while managing up and delegating down across the team.

  • Responsible for managing the full NBA Campaign Calendar inclusive of timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, success criteria, and communication.

  • Budget forecasting management in partnership with the team lead

  • Ensure broad socialization of plans and alignment across leadership, the project team, and internal and external partners.

  • Provide detailed and timely communication on developing issues to relevant executives and partners with clarity and urgency.

  • Define, execute, and communicate risk management plans with a mindset towards engaged problem solving.

  • Display a basic understanding of the NBA2k franchise and game in order to contextualize projects and understand potential conflicts or opportunities competing projects might present

  • Work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment, being incredibly proactive and not shy to call out issues and prioritize resolution.

  • Effectively manage stakeholders, get buy-in, and present new ideas and projects.

  • Identify risks in advance and communicate appropriately.

What Will Make You a Great Fit:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in marketing, sports, or communications

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience

  • Deep knowledge of projects management, process and best practices for Global executions

  • Experience interfacing and communicating with executives, business leaders and cross-functional teams

  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to listen, take direction, problem solve, and take-action

  • We are a fast-paced, dynamic team – the ability to multitask, pivot, roll with the punches, and do it with a positive attitude is paramount.

  • Self-starter, able to take ownership over tasks and carry them throughout to the end

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and succeed under pressure of time, of changing and challenging situations, and of high expectations from team

  • Previous game and/or sports marketing related industry experience a plus

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $135,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
