What We Need

2K’s Partnerships and Licensing team works across several disciplines to lead our partnerships with industry-leading first party partners like Sony, Microsoft, Steam, and Epic to drive successful title go-to-market and publishing, develop and lead new partnerships and brand integrations, and work cross-functionally to architect large-scale consumer marketing programs. Our team culture is fast-paced and goal-oriented with a focus on driving revenue and exposure for our games worldwide. We hire nimble self-starters who are able to handle multiple work streams at once and get the job done.

We are seeking an extremely organized and detail-oriented individual who can work closely with our first party partners to successfully lead publishing and partner operations with our key console partners. The ideal candidate should be highly cross-functional, excellent at partner operations and relations, as well as experienced with both long-term planning and day-to-day execution. This role will require you to embrace a constantly changing environment, while multitasking on numerous high-level projects at once and remaining cool, calm and collected.

Success in the role will lie in both strong relationships with our first party partners (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam, Epic, etc), helping to build outstanding marketing strategies and implement innovative, best-in-class activations geared to a variety of promotion opportunities.

With experience in award-winning games and best-selling franchises and an astute understanding of the interactive entertainment industry, you will work cross-functionally across key 2K teams to plan and secure impactful marketing support from first party partners

What You Will Do

  • Work with 2K marketing leadership and other teams to elevate strategies and activations in order to build cross channel marketing initiatives which deliver the best consumer experience for our players

  • Provide first party partners with a comprehensive marketing strategy for your portfolio of 2K game titles

  • Work with relevant 2K teams to generate a prioritized list of marketing beats and initiatives for your portfolio of 2K game titles and share with first party partners through a weekly sync call and written documentation

  • Customize opportunities with partners in an effort to secure on-console store placement and off-console support in the form of blogs, social media posts, web presence, CRM sends, etc.

  • Coordinate with 2K teams to deliver creative marketing assets to our partners: including both 2K-produced assets, (including statics, game trailers, creative toolkits and related metadata), as well as custom elements for 1P-produced campaigns that support both our marketing initiatives and theirs

  • Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to ensure correct brand treatment of all first party collateral, and that all first party creative needs are included and prioritized in asset planning phases

  • Report on campaign executions, metrics, and all relevant results on anticipated and received first party partner coverage at varying cadences (monthly, quarterly, ad hoc)

  • Be a source of truth with global 2K relevant teams to ensure worldwide collaboration on first party marketing initiatives by sharing strategies, priorities, plans, and assets. Additionally, identify successful territory-level executions and amplify on a global stage.

  • Support launch and ongoing co-marketing activities across 2K, identifying opportunities to grow our games via first parties, and providing ideas and recommendations when we have under performance or areas we can continue to enable sales optimization or growth

Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit

  • 3-5 years of marketing operations and/or partner marketing experience

  • Comfort with leading communication and relationships with external partners such as Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Valve and Epic

  • Proactive project and marketing operations owner with experience in a fast moving, cross-functional environment that requires critical thinking and out-of-the-box solutions for best results

  • An existing passion for video games and entertainment, or an excited willingness to learn

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $110,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
