Dying Light: The Beast delayed less than a month before launch

Techland has confirmed that it has pushed back the release of Dying Light: The Beast by a month in order to further polish the game, just weeks before its original launch date.

The details:

  • In a new post from Techland, the studio confirmed that the game will now be arriving on September 19 instead of August 22 to “allow for extra polishing work.” It explained that following feedback from fans stemming from playtests, previews, and social media, it decided that it would take the additional four weeks to “address final details that make all the difference between good and great."
  • Techland also shared some of the changes being made to the game, including balancing gameplay elements, making its UI more clear, improving its physics, and updating animations and cutscenes.
  • The studio concluded its update by confirming that a playable demo will still be available at Gamescom next month and that more updates, including one discussing the game’s gore, are on their way.
