Blizzard Entertainment is teasing a new StarCraft game days before BlizzCon

The details:

• The teaser involves glitching effects across the StarCraft site, consistent with an ARG reveal campaign. Reports have suggested the new project is not a traditional RTS sequel but a third-person shooter set in the StarCraft universe, developed under former Far Cry executive producer Dan Hay.
• A separate report suggested South Korean publisher Nexon was close to sealing a deal with Blizzard for StarCraft IP development rights, adding another layer of uncertainty about what exactly gets announced and who's making it.
• StarCraft 2's last major content update came in 2020, and the franchise has been largely dormant since. BlizzCon is just over a week away.
