We are looking for a Senior Game Data Analyst to join us at Zynga Austin in creating Star Wars: Hunters™, a competitive arena combat game for the Nintendo Switch system and mobile devices. Star Wars: Hunters will bring players together to engage in thrilling, squad-based, multiplayer battles featuring a diverse array of distinctive new Star Wars characters.

Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver actionable insight as a cross-discipline partner to influence decisions/roadmaps:
- Analytically problem solve: Descriptive, Explanatory, Predictive, etc.
- Deploy good programming principles
- Deliver robust modeling: supervised, unsupervised, re-enforcement, etc.
- Impactfully communicate with compelling visuals /strong storytelling.
- Design and analyze experiments that inform decisions and help us continue to delight players.
- Work with peers on end to end data pipelines: Telemetry >ETL’s > empowering end users.
- Contributing to the innovative thinking culture of our local and global analytics discipline
- Use complex data to, identify opportunities to drive value for studio/players
- Design, test, verify and implement - apply analytical rigor and critical thinking
- Be an effective cross discipline partner in studio, collaborate with global analytics community
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Confident in manipulating, transforming, and analyzing complex data at large scales.
- Experience in:
- SQL and Python, excited to learn new languages where needed
- Big Data infrastructures: Vertica, Spark, Databricks or others e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, etc.
- BI tools like Tableau or building out bespoke visuals/tools using open source technology
- Multi-variant testing design and read-outs
- Discovery, Prediction and Optimization analytical techniques (preferred)
- Passionate about the discipline and enjoys career growth, with an interest in thought leadership
- Enjoys working in a dynamic environment with opportunity to multitask on parallel projects
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable explaining complex ideas clearly and simply
- Strong balance of Business acumen alongside analytical and technical skills
- Strong attention to detail, natural curiosity with ability to problem-solve creatively
- Good influencing skills and enjoys working with partners across disciplines
- An interest in the games market and/or enjoys engaging in games /digital apps (preferred)
- Proven track record in similar roles, preferably within gaming, technology or digital
- BSc or BA. in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Comp Sci, Engineering, Economics or other technical field preferred; advanced degrees welcome
