Zynga, a global leader in social games, is seeking a DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS that is fluent in ENGLISH AND MANDARIN. We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated and experienced leader to support the planning and strategy execution for our North America studios and lead our expansion efforts in China, based in the US. The Director of Business Operations (US/China Lead) will play a pivotal role in facilitating the North America organization as it continues to scale, as well as APAC expansion initiatives, with a focus on being the primary liaison with our studio in China. The right candidate for this role will be ready to embrace our team culture and elevate our business performance globally. They will have broad experience in solving complex problems, business partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and influencing cross-functionally to achieve best results. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the main point of contact and communication for all matters relating to China (studio and initiatives).
  • Manage planning (timelines, milestones, execution, releases and updates) of key strategic priorities, from inception through to completion, with little supervision.
  • Drive cross-functional process and feedback loop around defining, prioritizing, creating action plans, and monitoring progress on ad-hoc projects.
  • Effectively communicate, collaborate and gain alignment with other parts of Zynga, and ensure that studio operations leverages the ideas and resources of the larger organization as well as share best practices and uphold operational standards to drive results and outcomes.
  • Deliver on business planning activities which include resource and task management, strategic scenario analyses, and other regular updates.
  • Proactively identify dependencies and risks to project plans and own the solutions to mitigate those risks, both internally and externally.
  • Regularly share project status with team members all the way up to executives, and track deliverables to ensure goals are met.
  • Establish a cadence of milestone check-ins and project reviews, ensure follow-up on action items generated, and consistently report the status and risks & opportunities.
  • Skillfully balance and constantly prioritize multiple projects/requests from internal and/or external partners.
  • Consistently demonstrate sound judgment, maintain confidentiality as needed, and flex with dynamic work environment.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of operations and/or project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Game/Entertainment/Technology industry experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor of Business, Business administration, Finance or Commerce an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience of the app ecosystem in China a plus.
  • Self-motivated to act quickly when issues arise that need immediate attention, flexibility and adaptability are key.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Mandarin.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and switching between the tactical and strategic.
  • Consistent track record working in rapid development cycles.
  • Able to motivate, support and guide others to attain successful outcomes and business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills, along with keen attention to detail.
  • Must be self-directed, highly organized and a problem solver with a burning desire to contribute to a uniquely creative environment.
  • This position reports directly into the VP of Business Operations.
  • The role will require domestic and international travel.
