The PR Manager reports to the Director of PR and will create and execute programs to generate positive editorial coverage for the Company's products, business activities, and initiatives through multiple communication vehicles, including: media relations, industry conferences, events, as well as community and content platforms. The PR Manager's responsibilities will include development of strategy, press releases, interviews, story pitches and placement, media relations, press tours, and staffing game conventions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute strategic, breakout PR campaigns
  • Write and edit press releases, interviews, fact sheets, and other PR materials
  • Collaborate with development teams to create effective communications strategies and timelines
  • Coordinate global communications efforts with international teams
  • Work with the Influencer Manager to expand relationships with content creators and execute on activations and opportunities
  • Help plan and participate in trade shows, sales & marketing presentations, and press tours
  • Work with members of media and online personalities to secure previews, reviews, interviews, and articles about company and company products
  • Craft and execute PR programs that publicize the studios, franchises, and titles
  • Own outreach and coverage with top consumer media outlets nationwide
  • Maintain key media relationships across North America
  • Work with internal community, content and brand teams to develop successful and integrated player-facing communication
  • Source top tier speaking opportunities and manage the team's executive speaking opportunities
  • Manage PR agency strategy and activity across multiple titles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 3-5 years' experience working in public relations and/or marketing for a video game developer or publisher is essential
  • Strong, established relationships with key press is essential
  • Very strong writing skills and the ability to articulate concepts, messages and strategies
  • Effective organization and planning skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Must be proactive and highly motivated
