ZeniMax Media is seeking an experienced Network Reliability Engineer to join our corporate Global Infrastructure Team based in our Rockville, MD office.  We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, excited about using technology to make everyone’s job easier, enjoys working on and solving problems, communicates effectively, and can work with and add to the value of our team and company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input and troubleshooting for in-house enterprise LAN/WAN environment

  • Develop and contribute to our network automation platform

  • Maintenance and operations of Cisco ISE

  • Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Network Engineering or Administration

  • A functional and practical understanding of TCP/IP

  • Ability to troubleshoot routing protocols, OSPF and BGP

  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot traditional Ethernet switching (STP, VLANs, dot1x, AAA, etc)

  • Ability to operate configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc)

  • Ability to operate visibility and operations platforms (PRTG, Nagios, Datadog, etc)

  • Plus: A good understanding of systems administration core competencies (Windows Server or Linux)

  • AWS, GCE, Azure compute or networking basics

  • Enjoys working in a team environment

  • Is highly organized with a detail-oriented mindset

  • Keeps a level-head when meeting deadlines during busy times

Salary Range

Network Reliability Engineer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $75,000 - $160,000 per year.

ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
