Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with partner/account management in the video, media, or entertainment industry focused on the gaming space
  • Business development experience with media or internet agreements
  • Program management experience working with external partners, vendors and creators

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with publishers, creators and influencers and maintaining business relationships.
  • YouTube content creation, strategy, and management experience.
  • Program management experience focused on events or marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge in Esports and/or Mobile Gaming (e.g. Publisher Ecosystem, Creator Ecosystem, Marketplaces).
  • Understanding of User Journeys between in-game experiences and video platforms
  • Passionate about and actively involved in the gaming space.

As a Strategic Partner Manager on the Content Partnerships team at YouTube, you'll have a unique opportunity to create long-lasting relationships with your portfolio of partners, and to apply and hone business skills in an entrepreneurial environment. You're comfortable working on complex content agreements with partners, as well as working cross-functionally with colleagues across multiple disciplines, to ensure our partners are positioned for success on YouTube and to provide the best possible experience for our users.

As a Strategic Partner Manager, you'll work alongside teams to educate and build product features which will enable the capturing and consumption of this growing vertical within gaming. You'll act as the key stakeholder in dictating content strategies, creator executions, licensing, product partnerships, and co-marketing campaigns with YouTube's largest Game Publisher partners. The Gaming Publisher business at YouTube is a cross-functional and deeply complex product areas experiencing unprecedented growth. Your role will place you squarely in the middle of investment strategies and working with key stakeholders to build the future of gaming content on the platform. You’ll be involved in shaping the way YouTube develops products which best suit the next generation of users who watch and play games.

Responsibilities

  • Program manage content opportunities with game publishers and influencers in the space.
  • Provide leadership to a group of partnership managers acquiring and managing content partners in both the live and Video-on-Demand space. Innovate in a fast-paced environment. Articulate a vision and lead the team in implementing.
  • Develop, plan and implement projects and initiatives to enhance gaming creator experience and results. Provide insight, understanding and leadership in order for the company to maximize the potential for its current and future product/service offerings regarding the gaming vertical, focusing on live.
  • Negotiate agreements and manage the internal implementation of those agreements by coordinating the operations of product management, legal and the business development team.
  • Establish and drive senior-level relationships within YouTube’s cross-functional partners with the goal of driving business growth and content catalog for the Partnerships team.
