Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience with partner/account management in the video, media, or entertainment industry, with a focus in the gaming space.
  • Experience working with Publishers and maintaining business relationships.
  • Business development experience with media or internet agreements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • YouTube content creation, strategy, and management experience.
  • Program Management experience focused on events, and marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated background in rights management, content ownership, and publisher/creator relationships.
  • Understanding of technical implementations between Game Accounts and User Journeys.
  • Knowledge in Mobile Gaming (e.g. Publisher Ecosystem, Creator Ecosystem, Marketplaces).
  • Passionate about and actively involved in the gaming space.

YouTube’s Product Partnerships team accelerates the global growth and innovation of YouTube products by driving new business opportunities through partnerships. We own the business side of new features, products and initiatives that are vital to the success of YouTube. As a team member, you understand the landscape of partnerships opportunities across technology licensing/integrations, marketing, and distribution. You will also craft strategies, define and structure critical partnerships, negotiate agreements, and cultivate our relationships.

As the Head of Gaming Publishers, Americas, Gaming, you'll lead a team of strategic partner managers in North America to guide them in effectively building relationships with industry constituents, working through complex tasks like rights management and ownership, acquiring content partners, devising creative agreement structures, and managing the day-to-day account activities of our top YouTube Gaming Publishers. Game Publishers touch a variety of Google products including Ads, Google Play, and Stadia, all of whom utilize YouTube as a surface for their strategies. Your role will be both traffic conductor and idea generator between all these cross-functional bodies to maximize business objectives for your partners, whether that be reach, revenue, data/insights, or all of the above.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to a group of partnership managers acquiring and managing content partners in both the live and Video on Demand space. Innovate in a fast-paced environment. Articulate a vision and lead the team in implementing it.
  • Provide insight, understanding and leadership in order for the company to maximize the potential for its current and future product/service offerings regarding the gaming vertical, focusing on live.
  • Negotiate agreements and manage the internal implementation of those agreements by coordinating the operations of product management, legal and the business development team.
  • Establish and drive senior-level relationships within YouTube’s cross-functional product management, engineering, legal, ad sales and marketing organizations with the goal of driving business growth and content catalog for the Partnerships team.
  • Develop, plan and implement projects and initiatives to enhance overall gaming creator experience and results.
