The Product & Partner Go To Market (PPG) team is focused on educating and activating YouTube content partners, consumers and our internal teams. Our multifaceted team members work together with various cross-functional stakeholders throughout YouTube to address our users’ most pressing needs to be successful on YouTube. We help develop go-to-market resources for products, policies and content strategies that are strategically important for YouTube’s ecosystems.

As a Content Strategist, you will develop and scale out insights across all content creation and YouTube features (for example, live, stories, community posts, comments, Merch, sponsorships, superchat, ad formats, etc.) in order to help our Gaming creators and partners improve their overall monetization, discovery, subscribers, and viewership.

With your online video expertise combined with your passion for content creation, experience in growing audiences and knowledge of online measurement, you will help set best practices for YouTube Gaming creators and partners globally. You will circulate knowledge throughout YouTube and work directly with cross-functional teams as well with key creators and partners to drive adoption of new features and best practices.

You are a problem solver by nature and your strategic thinking skills will be critical in devising new plans and turning data into actionable information to both enhance content optimization and influence product development. You are someone who is a self-starter, creative thinker and intellectually curious. You are comfortable working cross-functionally in a results-driven environment, able to multitask, online media savvy, have a strong interest in video, and want to be part of an innovative global team that is forging new ground.

Responsibilities

  • Identify content and performance trends across YouTube and among specific partner groups.
  • Develop, test and distribute insights, content strategies and best practices via go-to-market materials and trainings for internal teams.
  • Analyze and interpret data, define viewership patterns and growth metrics and deliver recommendations based on data.
  • Work cross functionally with operations, strategic partnerships, marketing, PR, product and data teams to support audience development initiatives and YouTube priorities.
  • Help design and execute audience development and programming strategy plans for select partners, channels and content.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with online video audience development.
  • Experience with the YouTube platform, ecosystem, Gaming creators and partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL language and ability to extract, cross-reference and interpret data from different sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive viewership or online growth on YouTube.
  • Passion for YouTube and content creation.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication and presentation skills with ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
