The Role

We are hiring a Business Development Manager with mobile gaming experience to join our brand licensing team and connect with China’s top-performing games and create new partnerships with our portfolio of global premium IP holders, including Hasbro and Universal Music Group.

Over the past year, our brand licensing team has brought some of the world’s biggest brands, including Hasbro’s Transformers, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering and more, to life in China’s hottest mobile games and helped domestic developers engage with global audiences. Our goal is to help Chinese developers succeed in the global mobile gaming market through brand collaborations. Responsibilities

  • Developing a network of top Chinese developers, grouped by game genre and demographics, and building collaborations for licensing our global IP partners;

  • Studying our partner IPs and building business strategies accordingly, matching games with the right brands, negotiating with developers, and driving the signing of the agreement.

  • Keeping close contact with potential partners, and capitalizing on internal and external resources to push cooperation forward and ensure the successful launch and smooth operation.

  • Maintaining a good long-term relationship with developers and exploring additional opportunities for collaboration.

  • Continuously monitoring the global gaming industry, trends, and updates from developers; providing in-depth market analysis reports and shaping our IP business strategy accordingly.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business development within the gaming industry

  • Game lover with deep understanding of the Chinese mobile game market and an extensive network of top developers

  • Native-level Chinese fluency with strong spoken and written English and ability to communicate and cooperate across cultures

  • Self-motivated problem solver; able to learn quickly and continuously excel in a fast-paced, KPI-driven team; willing to challenge yourself and try new things

Preferred

  • Basic familiarity with brand licensing and/or experience in an IP-related project.

  • Scalable thinking: Yodo1 is growing fast; those who can think big and own projects advance quickly.
