About the role
As a 2D Character Artist at Wooga you will work closely with designers, engineers, product managers, producers, writers and other artists to create visually stunning, game characters for one of Wooga’s hit games!
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the team on creating art assets for the project, including characters, props, and other character related assets.
- While working together with writers, you will visually illustrate a characters’ personality and history.
- Ensuring a high quality and unique visual experience.
- Maintaining the consistency of the existing style, constantly optimizing it, and creating new ways of making it more exciting.
- Execute on the visual design from provided concept art through to the implementation in engine.
- Contribute to the development of the artistic techniques and processes utilized to define and achieve a product's visual style.
About you
- You have a strong portfolio of realistic character designs, with accurate anatomy and great sense for costume design. Your portfolio should show quality, taste, and ability to hit a photorealistic/believable look.
- Strong understanding of scale, proportion, human anatomy, surface properties and distribution and purpose of detail.
- Excellent rendering and design skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt to established styles.
- Strong knowledge of color theory.
- Digital illustration skills with an advanced understanding of Photoshop.
- Ability to communicate and give feedback to external partners.
