We are seeking an upbeat and collaborative Software Development Engineer in Test to build, automate, execute, and report the results of test cases. In this role, you will work with the QA Manager and Technical Director to assist in debugging and troubleshooting systems under test in addition to conducting requirements validation and analysis.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with QA manager on vision for how quality engineering will aid projects.
  • Set standards for quality engineering work in conjunction with technical leads.
  • Research and evaluate third party tools.
  • Ensure project specific plans align with the strategy.
  • Review upcoming projects to identify opportunities for test automation and tool creation.
  • Liaise with development teams to integrate quality engineering plan into project.
  • Provide support and guidance to quality engineering efforts when not directly working on projects as an individual contributor.
  • Review and maintain standards for quality engineering work.
  • Implement tools to aid testing on projects.
  • Create and maintain test automation frameworks for projects.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and test automation based on requirements/stories and design documents.
  • Participate in estimating test effort, designing approach, and identifying risks.
  • Analyze issues found during testing and provide detailed analysis of the problem.
  • Effectively communicate and document any issues or risks encountered during testing.
  • Contribute to an ongoing process of improving test efficiency and accuracy with better processes, tools, ideas, and infrastructure improvements.

What you’ll bring:

  • Required: 3+ years of experience as a software developer in test in the games industry.
  • Familiar with multiple programming and scripting languages (especially C++).
  • Background developing with Unreal Engine 4.
  • 3+ years of programming experience in an Agile process.
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to communicate well and comfort in working with multiple internal and external teams.
  • A strong QA-mindset empowered by your technical skills.
  • Bonus: Experience using Unity3d.
