What is this role all about?
As our newest Dev Ops engineer, your role is to analyze, design, implement and validate strategies for both on-prem and cloud-based Enterprise Business Systems. You will participate as part of our Business Systems Operations and Development teams to design and deliver new tools and services. You'll help support and strengthen the Enterprise tools behind games that bring joy to millions around the world.

Day To Day Responsibilities

  • Develop custom solutions and integration methods to support the implementation, maintenance and operations of Enterprise Business Systems.
  • Maintain the operations of our Enterprise SaaS solutions, including Zendesk, Zendesk Sell, Atlassian Suite, Digital Genius and others. Including access controls, workflow creation, API/Widget implementations and website changes.
  • Assist in-house product teams with regularly scheduled product builds and deployments and hotfixes as needed
  • Participate effectively in relevant aspects of software development life cycle (SDLC) including planning, construction, testing, reviews and demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams and vendor resources to knowledge share and provide incident/request assistance as necessary
  • Implement system security configuration, to include access control, host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts
  • Collaborate with Producers and System Administrators on development solutions most suitable to meet system and business requirements
  • Develop best practices, operational procedures and design documentation
  • Troubleshoot to resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

What Abilities and Experience does the Ideal Wizard have?

  • 1-2 years of Software Development experience required
  • SaaS Tool Administration experience preferred
  • Scripting experiences with one or more of PowerShell, Ruby, and Python
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, jQuery, JSON and JavaScript required
  • Strong understanding of REST API, OAuth, and be able to design, develop, deploy and support RESTful services desired
  • Experience in writing at least 500 lines of code
  • Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure services including HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP
  • Familiarity with git and other configuration management tools
