WIN is an esports company looking for contributing writers for our WIN.gg media platform. The ideal candidate is capable of beginning work at the contract level leading to a future full-time position if they are successful, but immediate full-time inquiries and candidates who are only capable of part-time contract work will also be considered if merited.

Candidates should be confident in their writing ability, with a history of prior publication preferred. A deep level of familiarity with esports and gaming is required. We are specifically seeking writers with expertise and interest in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as well as Valorant, League of Legends, and Dota 2. Specific knowledge of gaming communities on Twitch and other live streaming platforms is also highly relevant. General gaming knowledge, expertise in Overwatch, and a familiarity with betting markets are all a plus, but are not specifically required.

Writers should be capable of efficiently producing clean copy on a regular basis. Writers should be comfortable working independently with oversight from an editor. Writers must be able to write in fluent English.

Writers will be expected to familiarize themselves with the company writing style, which can be seen and understood by browsing published articles at WIN.gg. AP guidelines are generally adhered to. Articles are written in the inverted pyramid format. Please understand this format before applying.

Articles are meant to be concise and efficient in delivering to readers the desired information. We are not looking for or interested in long-form opinion writing at this time.

The WIN staff promotes a collaborative environment in which team members are expected to work together constructively. Team members are expected to receive criticism ably and respond to it professionally.

Applications should include a resume, a brief cover letter detailing your background and gaming interest/knowledge, and at least two writing samples (preferably published). Applications that do not include these required materials will not be reviewed.

We appreciate your interest and look forward to hearing from you.
