We're looking for a passionate Render TD, to join Wildlife's Marketing Art Production team in São Paulo, Brazil.

As a Render TD, you’ll be primarily responsible for the management of our rendering process and our renderfarm resources, with the goal of improving efficiency of all renders and minimizing technical errors. You will also develop scripts, tools and reports to streamline the workflow, following the coding practices defined by the Engineering department. You will be the point of contact about technical matters for the artists in the Lighting, VFX and Compositing teams.

What you'll do

  • Monitor the computers on the renderfarm to make sure there are no technical problems that could hinder successful output, ensuring the renderfarm function at its maximum;
  • Assist artists in optimization, including per-shot, per-project, game- and studio-wide techniques for improved render efficiency for time, memory and I/O utilization;
  • Support artists in investigating and debugging requests about rendering problems;
  • Monitor rendering trends, anticipate issues and suggest solutions;
  • Collaborate with Production, IT, and Engineering departments to address technical issues and expand creative reach in these overlapping areas;
  • Manage all rendering needs that must me addressed to the cloud;
  • Seek for opportunities/inefficiencies and develop scripts/tools to both support artists and your own daily work;

What you'll need

  • University degree in courses related to computing such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Systems Analysis and Development;
  • Previous professional experience in software development;
  • Previous professional experience in feature animation or VFX projects in a similar role;
  • Strong drive to identify, debug and solve problems;
  • Positive and friendly customer-service demeanor;
  • Python programming skills;
  • Be familiar with graphics suites such as: Maya, V-Ray, Houdini, Nuke, After Effects, Unity;
  • Must be open to direction and be able to quickly context-switch according to production needs;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with artists, engineers, management, and IT teams;
