Founded in 2007, WhiteMoon Dreams, Inc. is a fully independent game development studio located in beautiful South Pasadena, California where we are working on projects for cutting-edge next-generation platforms. We are looking for a talented, passionate and creative Lead Software Engineer to join us in making some super exciting games! We’re specifically seeking people who would be excited to work on cutting edge Next Generation projects!

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve performance across all target platforms
  • Develop and maintain existing systems for managing memory and streaming and CPU usage
  • Debug and fix crashes, concurrency issues, and platform-specific problems
  • Research and propose improvements to processes and pipelines
  • Design, implement, and support key gameplay features using Unreal Engine 4
  • Create tools to help the team during development
  • Write well documented and optimized code in C++
  • Facilitate and perform code reviews with team members
  • Debug minor and major bugs and performance issues on multiple platforms such PC, PS4
  • Responsible to lead a team of developers
  • Communicate effectively with the Art and Design teams

Requirements

  • An avid gamer with a passion for making next generation games
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 7+ years of professional experience developing games for consoles and PC
  • At least 1 shipped title, console preferable
  • Unreal Engine experience
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ and Object Oriented Programming.
  • A keen interest in analyzing and optimizing next generation games and engine code
  • Experience with multithreaded programming
  • Excellent communication and team skills
  • Ability to communicate well and work across departments.
  • Good foundation of 3D math concepts and algorithms related to 3d applications
  • Self-motivated and ability to use the next generation hardware during the hardware development
