Travel: Up to 50%, international and domestic

About the Role

The Content & Experience manager will lead the strategy for content and members experience and support the community team at each location to ensure we engage with our members, from casual to professional gamers and creators in general, dedicated to building the global physical community for the eSports Gaming market.

The manager will be responsible for the content roadmap and relationship with the We Company member experience team and partners, for core strategy, for leading the global roll-out of physical locations and a compelling and seamless digital experience, and for delivering brand awareness, high engagement and other targets.

The manager will be a key player on the Play by We Team based out of USCI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Play by We GM and key advisors and team members to shape a compelling strategy, from members experience to events roadmap, to GTM strategy, operations strategy, etc.
  • Work with all Play by We community teams to set the business up for scale including key choices regarding physical technology found in locations to the digital experience that seamlessly integrates offline and online
  • Co-create (with GM) specific and measurable objectives related to members experience, location roll-out, P/L targets, capital requirements
  • Maintain and build a relationship with publishers, partners, influencers, and sponsors in order to flow new events, experiences and opportunities for Play by We
  • Conceive and execute a strategy to integrate the new business in the current eSports gaming universe; leverage our unique strengths and position us to partner effectively in the ecosystem
  • Produce and deliver quarterly updates to the new business unit (to be drawn from inside and outside The We Company)

Background & Competencies

The right leader will have a keen understanding of the eSports Gaming landscape, key players and trends, and the overall ecosystem. While s/he may not currently work directly in this world, s/he will understand how to navigate the creation of partnerships & economic relationships with important players. Significant experience in a GM role in entertainment, sports or gaming spaces

  • A deep passion for the space, for creating amazing experiences is a must
  • Events and content background

  • While this is a key role, WeWork requires “going low and going high” and being willing and able to do so; we still operate with “start-up genes”
  • Be willing to dive into the trenches and do whatever necessary to get the ball across the line
