We are looking for a self-driven freelance VFX Artist able to create and optimize VFX for our VR games on Unity.
Directly in contact with the main developer, your mission will be to create realistic visual effects from concept arts / references and optimize them to make them work on different VR platforms (PC, Mobile, Console).

Requirements:

  • Significant experience working with Unity
  • Knowledge of artistic software (Blender, Photoshop, Substance, Houdini...)
  • Knowledge of particle systems, VFX graph and shader graph on Unity
  • Passionate about video games and new technologies
  • Used to instant chat tools (Slack, Discord...)
  • Good internet connection
  • Fluent in English (read/written)

Added bonus:

  • Knowledge of the VR market
  • Creative and able to propose new visual effects for our game
  • Experience optimizing VFX on mobile and VR
  • Knowledge of Houdini
  • Basic understanding of scripting (C#)
  • Knowledge of physics/particle simulation (cloth & hair simulation, fluids, rigid and soft bodies, destruction...)
  • Used to version control tools (GIT)
  • Europe timezone
  • Able to speak French

Contract information:

Type: Freelance

Duration: 2-3 months, can evolve to a long time collaboration once the initial mission is completed.
