The Job
Monolith Productions, a division of WB Games Inc. is seeking a Producer to support our development team by facilitating their needs, creating and tracking their tasks and promoting communication. The Producer would be responsible for working with the team to help organize and track significant areas of development. They would work within the team to ensure that their team’s needs are met, dependencies have been communicated and the project is meeting its milestone expectations.

The Daily

  • Responsible for breaking down project and team goals into meaningful milestones as well as maintaining a long term schedule (Development plan)
  • Drive assets through their entire pipeline; ensuring teams are both getting what they need upstream and delivering appropriate content downstream.
  • Work with technical leadership to understand and meet technical considerations.
  • Update and maintain documentation for scope, processes and toolsets.
  • Checking up on the status for the current milestone goals. (both in person and through Jira)
  • Unblocking team members when they hit a roadblock for their current task.

  • Collaborate across disciplines to align milestone priorities and solve dependencies.
  • Enable internal team communication through regular standups and weekly content reviews to confirm tasks are on track and any dependencies will be solved.
  • Communicate adjustments to planned outcomes, highlighting ramifications related to dependencies across the project
  • Identifying and resolving high level vision discrepancies as well as aiding in clarifying cross-discipline problems that impact the World
  • Working with the design team and other producers to identify gameplay requirements for current and future work.
  • Help set the tone for our shared production philosophy. Using judgement within defined practices anticipating change in order to direct efforts as needed.
  • Provide clear tasks and timelines for all team members and follow up on any questions or concerns.
  • Monitor team health and work with leads and Senior Management to maintain good morale and productivity.
  • Manage and Mentor members of the production staff.

The Essentials

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working as a Producer on an internal development team within the videogame industry.
  • Passport eligibility preferred.
  • Self-Motivated and willing to take initiative.
  • Thorough understanding of the game development stages and process.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communications skills, a friendly and open nature, and an active and curious mind.
  • Able to communicate effectively across all disciplines (Audio, Writing, Design, Engineering, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Able to identify problems and solve them with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Able to balance multiple teams and tasks at a time.
  • We are looking for people who play games and understand why they love playing them.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Jira.
