The Job

Avalanche, a division of WB Games Inc., is looking for a passionate Associate Cinematic Layout Artist (temp) to join our team on an unannounced AAA title!

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a highly creative team and focus primarily on technical setup, troubleshooting and maintenance for high quality game cinematics.

The Daily

  • Create and troubleshoot rigs for characters, environment assets and props including ragdoll, cloth and dynamics.
  • Setup and troubleshoot cinematic scenes.
  • Create and maintain Unreal blueprints and material networks.
  • Research and create solutions for all aspects of cinematics as part of a team.

The Essentials

  • Knowledge of the latest Unreal Engine including creating and troubleshooting blueprints is required.
  • Have worked on and completed at least two college or module projects.
  • Good knowledge or background in traditional rigging.
  • Good knowledge of Maya.
  • Animation experience a plus.
  • Scripting experience, Python is preferred.
  • Be a game maker and self-motivated, contribute, stay flexible and be able to pick up the slack where needed.
  • Must be quality and performance focused and have a high proficiency for problem solving.
  • Positive team player with strong collaboration skills, great attitude and adaptable to change.
