Wargaming is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Technical Artist to work on the World of Tanks project.

Global illumination, procedural generation, next generation post processing, optimization using computational shaders, Vulkan/DX12 experiments, volumetric lighting – actually, it is not a tag cloud, but our current agenda and professional topics we are deeply engaged in at the moment.

What will you do?

  • Develop new technologies (including prototyping)
  • Develop and implement new content production workflow/pipeline
  • Help art departments and support their work
  • Find and resolve technical and art issues

What are we looking for?

  • 2+ years’ experience in video games industry as Technical Artist or Graphics/Render Engineer (ideally combined with a technical degree)
  • Well-developed artistic taste
  • Knowledge of any 3D package (for example, Maya/3ds Max/Blender), as well as Substance Designer/Painter and Photoshop
  • General understanding of the structure of graphics subsystems of modern game engines, understanding of operational principles of the graphics pipeline
  • Knowledge of HLSL/GLSL
  • Proficiency in Python/C#/C++ (any one of the languages listed is enough)
  • Understanding of how graphics algorithms work (AO, SSR, BRDF, etc.)
  • Willingness and ability to learn constantly
  • Good communicator, who is eager to work in a team
  • What will help you stand out?

  • Intermediate or higher level of English
