Wargaming is looking for an experienced Technical Artist to join our Rapid Prototyping team.
In this role you will work on new production-quality game prototypes and will be involved in unique prototyping toolset/technology development.
You won’t be limited to the narrow scope of responsibilities and will be able to boost your skills in VFX, shaders, lighting, UE blueprints scripting, as well as performance optimization and post-processing.
What will you do?
- Develop materials and shaders for various tasks
- Create post-process materials
- Create VFX in Niagara
- Search for, propose and implement solutions to optimize & increase performance
- Configure projects for targeting multiple platforms
- Create automation tools in UE4
- Set up physics and animation controllers for humanoid and non-humanoid models
- Create automation tools for Maya
- Develop and manage technical documentation and requirements
- Develop and implement content production workflow/pipeline
- Share your UE4 knowledge with the team and learn from others
- Create 3D models when required
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years of experience in the video games industry as a Technical Artist with 2+ years of production experience with UE4
- Strong knowledge of graphics performance optimization in Unreal Engine
- Good knowledge of Maya (ideally with Python scripting)
- Solid knowledge of UE4 blueprints
- At least pre-intermediate/intermediate level of English and readiness to improve your skills
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- UE4 C++ skills
- Experience with Houdini
- Substance Designer/Painter for creating materials
- Photoshop
- Passion for playing & making games
