Wargaming Sydney is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our studio. We are looking for experienced managers who have an ability to work in a fast moving environment and adapt to working with different technology stacks as required.

What will you do?

You will bring key experience and skills to help us build technology for AAA free-to-play games that scale to millions of players, and the technology that powers them. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the product and collaborate with teams in numerous international game studios. You will join and lead an established cross-functional development team that's agile, open, fun, and driven to build high quality products. This is a rare opportunity to apply your engineering expertise and leadership skills in the video game industry. You will provide technical guidance to the team and will be hands on when required as per the needs of the team.

  • You've got a solid foundation as a software engineer, bringing best practices of development and delivery to the team
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You thrive in an agile development environment
  • You've got a track record as a skilled and empathetic people-manager
  • You can satisfy and collaborate with stakeholders and sponsors while understanding and meeting the needs of the team
  • You are proficient with C++

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • You are a servant-leader who has helped teams to be high-performing
  • You have experience with the game engines like Unreal Engine (UE4)
  • You have knowledge or experience with AI/Machine Learning
  • You're passionate about game and/or engine development
  • You have experience designing and building large, distributed systems
  • You are proficient with Python
  • You have experience working with Agile/SCRUM
