Wargaming is looking to hire an enthusiastic and goal-oriented Research Analyst (remote) to bolster the analytics team within the Monetization and Server-Side Events department.

You will work with managers responsible for monetization and in-game events, the Data Warehouse team dealing with the data repository and the reports system, and also with product and data science analysts, and colleagues representing other departments in the Global Business Intelligence group.

The games industry is one of the most inundated with data. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to implement the most interesting analytical approaches, exchange expertise with other teams, study new analytical instruments and tech, and get tangible results for your efforts.

What will you do?

  • Gather and formalize the stakeholders’ research requests
  • Prepare analytical reports, devise metrics and methodologies for the assessment of efficiency of in-game events and sales created by the Server-Side Events department
  • Analyze and test monetization instruments utilized by the Server-Side Events department, and come up with ideas for improving these
  • Analyze new monetization functionality, model possible results of its deployment in games and assess the potential risks
  • Gather the stakeholders’ requirements for analytical dashboards development
  • Present the results of research conducted, sharing expertise with other teams to further increase the efficiency and appeal of in-game events and sales in Wargaming’s projects

What are we looking for?

  • Experience creating analytical reports and presenting the results of the research
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods
  • Knowledge of SQL sufficient for data mining and processing
  • An advanced MS Excel user
  • 2+ years’ experience in positions dealing with data analysis
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English (Intermediate or higher)
  • What additional skills will help you stand out?
  • Eager to learn much, and ready to absorb and systematize large volumes of data in a short period of time
  • Experience with Oracle databases and Impala/Hive instruments
  • Experience visualizing data in Tableau
  • Experience with R/Python libraries for data processing and analysis
  • Previous work in the games industry
  • Familiar with Wargaming titles
