The World of Tanks development team in Prague grew to 70 people in less than 3 years. The QA Department, one of the biggest in the studio, consists of 3 teams: Gameplay Features QA, Art QA, and Automation QA.

The QA Internship within Wargaming Forge is for talented junior specialists. Participation opens the door to a career in game development and software testing. Over the course of the program, the intern will learn the basic game development stages, the role of QA for each of these stages, and necessary skills for starting a career in game development and quality assurance.

Main mentors:

Valeriya Zavistovich (QA Team Lead)

7 + years of experience in QA, 3 of them in gaming industry in Art and Gameplay features testing , m anaging QA team for more than a year, c ertified Tester Foundation Level (ISTQB)

Darek Vodrazka (QA Engineer)
Experienced QA engineer , pa rticipated in building QA team from the scratch , c ertified Tester Foundation Level (ISTQB)

Guest mentors:

Iveta Karpisova (QA Automation Engineer)

Certified Tester Foundation Level (ISTQB), started as Manual QA in WG Prague, learned Python for less than a year and became QA Automation engineer, volunteer Python tutor for QA engineers

Miroslav Hejzdral (QA Engineer)

4+ years of experience in Game Industry, successfully released multiple maps for World of Tanks random battles (Kharkiv, Overlord, Highway, etc.), maps and hangars for events like Steel Hunter and Halloween

What are we looking for?

  • Upper - intermediate level of English or higher
  • Proficient PC user (familiar with Windows/Linux OS, can install and work with new software, familiar with VM)
  • Understanding of the s oftware development life cycle and the role of QA

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Basic knowledge of a programming language ( P ython, J ava, e tc.)
