You will be one of our first employees in Romania, as part of Digital Candy, the first Voodoo studio in Romania. The studio is located in Bucharest, where a small team is currently being recruited. We aim to create 2 magical pairs of developer + artist and enable them to start prototyping right away to find the next hyper-casual big hit.
We are looking for 3D artists who:
Can easily integrate their own work in Unity
Are versatile, can adapt quickly, and move fast
Are self-aware and can accurately estimate ETA for their work
Understand that a prototype doesn’t need to look pretty in order for us to test & validate an idea.
Once you are paired with a developer, your chemistry and ability to work together efficiently will be the deciding factor in your success. This is a role with high ownership in an agile studio where bureaucracy simply doesn’t exist. Joining our team requires everyone to leave their ego at the door, for the sake of team success.
With this role, you will have a strong impact on the company by contributing daily to our brainstorming process and to important decisions. Flesh out the details of a game's design, test out your ideas and revise the game in response to data & player feedback. Within your role, you will also:
Create intuitive mobile games
Communicate well, collaborate effectively, and develop an efficient pipeline for working with the developer you are paired with in order to rapidly create prototypes (<1 week) and test them
Adapt to different art styles, given the game concept at hand
Versatility to work on all art-related aspects of the game (3D models, animations, game UI/UX, icons, mockups, etc)
Know when to persevere and when to pivot to new ideas
At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience as a Game Artist for Unity projects
A track record working on mobile games
Enjoy playing mobile games, especially hyper-casual
Passionate about finding trends, gameplay, and game mechanics
Excellent skills in creative clouds: photoshop, illustrator, after effects
Experience in 3D software such as Maya or Blender
Knowledge of Unity Engine and can integrate your work in the game
Able to work quickly and efficiently and you are a reliable teammate
Good level of English (both writing and speaking)
