Founded by GitHub founder Chris Wanstrath and seasoned indie game developer Neil Sarkar, Void is a new way to make games. We believe that game creation should be more fun and rewarding for everyone. Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines for game analytics and player data.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights that inform game design and development.
  • Implement data models and maintain data integrity and quality throughout the systems.
  • Support data-related tools and processes that enhance team productivity and decision-making.
  • Build reporting and visualization tools that display key metrics and trends for project stakeholders.
  • Optimize data storage solutions to ensure efficiency and speed in data retrieval and analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions like Redshift or BigQuery.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and tools to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
