What We Need:
Our Foothill Ranch studio in California is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our development efforts on an exciting new game using the Unreal Engine! This game brings a new direction for Visual Concepts, involves driving in an open world, and will be fun for all ages.
What You Will Do:
- Implement new systems and optimize existing ones to improve our game’s use of Unreal Engine
- Help provide architectural oversight across the entire game
- Assist other engineers in devising clean and efficient solutions to technical challenges
- Analyze and improve performance on multiple console platforms
- Research new techniques to continually improve our game technology
Requirements:
- 5+ years of programming experience for video games in a large engine, preferably Unreal
- Experience releasing games on consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo)
- Passion for real time performance in games
- Extensive experience working on games at or near the engine level
- Superb understanding of modern C / C++ fundamentals
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under reasonable deadlines
- Ability to write clean, bug-free, well-documented, and efficient code
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
