What We Need:
Visual Concepts is looking for an Operations Manager to help drive operational excellence across our fast-paced, high-growth Austin studio. In this role, you will design low-friction processes, recommend operational optimizations, manage facilities, identify and implement new tools or business applications, and be a critical, cross-functional leader. We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, extremely attentive to detail, loves developing processes, and is a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills.
This role will report to the General Manager of our Austin studio and partner with cross-functional stakeholders. We prefer the position to be onsite with the team in Austin.
What You Will Do:
- Manage a large development and publishing focused office complex
- Work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment, being incredibly proactive and not shy to call out issues and prioritize resolution
- Spearhead the development and continuous improvement of the ‘Operations Playbook’, including processes, procedures and training that streamline operations
- Manage large, often cross-functional, organization-wide projects or initiatives; bring together important stakeholders and help drive decisions
- Drive initiatives, create project plans outlining timelines, owners and tasks. Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders
- Ensure all deadlines are met and all handoffs are successful as the project is moving through the pipeline
- Develop and cultivate relationships with leadership & cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as HR, IT, Safety & Security on emergency preparedness, business continuity plans, and site level crisis mitigation
- Track Facility Operations expenses and establish reporting procedures to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with site leaders to build trainings, best practices and consistency across teams

Preferred Qualification & Experience:
- Degree in Business Administration, 5+ years’ experience in a operations or project management function or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, partners, and groups of managers
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills
