What We Need:

Working in partnership with Visual Concepts’ management and 2K HR, plans and manages all aspects of human resources activities, including but not limited to employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, training and development, employee engagement, and compensation. Oversees Visual Concept’s global studio HR, providing a consistent approach in line with VC culture while respecting geographic and cultural differences.

What You Will Do:

  • Works to promote an innovative and creative culture where employees can achieve high levels of job satisfaction and productivity
  • Works in partnership with VC’s Talent Acquisition team to anticipate hiring needs and challenges and provide input into solutions; plans and manages employee orientation/ onboarding activities to foster positive attitude toward studio goals and integration of new hires
  • Collaborates with 2K and T2 HR on the review and development of new and/or existing HR policies, procedures, and practices; makes recommendations for improvements and changes
  • Participates in all company-wide HR program and systems initiatives as representative of VC and its locations; gathers feedback and requirements, coordinates feedback, and supports the VC needs and perspectives
  • Manages employee departures, ensuring employees are treated with respect and all required notification/communication occurs in a timely manner
  • Maintains knowledge of global industry trends and employment legislation in order to facilitate compliance with legislation pertaining to all HR matters
  • Conducts needs assessment and partners with 2K HR on the development of training programs as needed
  • Collaborates with 2K and T2 HR on the administration of compensation programs (FLSA, job levels, and compensation ranges) and the development of job descriptions
  • Develops, plans, and/or manages employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, employee development and career planning, policy interpretation and compliance, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs
  • Facilitates effective and positive resolution of employee issues, displaying a genuine interest and respect for people and their concerns
  • Leads and manages employee transfer/relocation activities
  • Works closely with legal department to coordinate work permits and visas for any foreign employees/candidates
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation; conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations; provides periodic reports to Studio Manager
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field and 5+ years’ experience in a human resources generalist function or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Game industry experience a plus
  • Proven ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, candidates, and groups of managers
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to wage and hour, employment law, safety, and immigration
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Ability to make cogent recommendations that reflect judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law in order to effectively resolve problems or issues
  • Ability to work flexibly and calmly in order to effectively respond to multiple changing business priorities
  • A perceptive, strong listener who can relate to individuals at all levels and is able to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public
