Responsibilities

What you will do

Virtuos is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager who will work with the Senior Digital Maketing Manager and the Group Marketing Director to orchestrate and lead the growth of our social media channels in China while building a community of gamemakers in our owned digital spaces.

A creative thinker familiar with all things digital, the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in campaign planning and execution, paid media advertising, creative media production, digital storytelling, and social media platforms.

Campaign management ·

  • Propose, develop, and execute integrated campaigns to animate our digital content planning aligned with our marketing objectives. ·
  • Leverage studio information and market insights to better segment, target, and reach target audiences. ·
  • Evaluate online channel effectiveness to determine and make necessary adjustments to optimize marketing spend.
  • Oversee the performance and allocation of our integrated paid media marketing efforts to engage key target audiences against conversion goals.
  • Design campaigns with a deep understanding of the Chinese talent market (particularly in video games) with the ability to propose tactical solutions to attract more talent online.
  • Conduct paid media campaigns on Chinese social media channels to drive evergreen growth and campaign specific objectives.

Social media activation

  • Act as the main custodian of our social media guidelines by reinforcing and training practitioners on best practices. ·
  • Manage and grow our social media presence across relevant social media platforms including but not limited to WeChat, MaiMai, Weibo and Bilibili.
  • Deploy and nurture our advocacy program to instill pride and drive more online engagement across the group.
  • Create and manage conversations with members of the public and build a community within owned channels.
  • Ensure social media posts are carefully managed and are published in a timely manner in accordance to each channel’s guidelines.

Creative content development ·

  • Manage and review content development to ensure online channels are current and up-to-date across the group.
  • Produce easy-to-digest, interactive, and/or high-quality content suitable for online consumption on both mobile and desktop. ·
  • Experiment with new channels and creative content mediums to optimize assets and campaign performance, including performing A/B testing.
  • Manage internal stakeholders and vendors in producing high-quality content video or otherwise for evergreen and adhoc campaigns.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for

  • We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager who has:
  • Passion for or experience working in the video games industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital, social and search marketing in China.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and get work done, even if it is outside the scope of work.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines to support a global team.
  • Hands-on approach and demonstrated test-and-learn attitude.
  • High-level of attention to details and accuracy. ·
  • Ability to communicate in English to liaise with teams in Singapore and across the world.

Qualifications ·

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in across digital, video, social, search, and/or related agency work with a focus on campaign optimization. ·
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. ·
  • Well-versed in the campaign planning process and media budget allocation.
  • Storyteller with proven visual and written communication skills and the ability to present complex information simply with a relatable, human touch.
  • Self-starter with direct experience developing tactical media plans and content while successfully working with a wide array of stakeholders. ·
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others to drive positive outcomes. ·
  • Must have fluent written and spoken English, and Mandarin.
